New Delhi: Creators of the hit online series The Broken News have greenlit the show for a second season. Season one of Vinay Waikul’s The Broken News premiered to both critical and popular acclaim. Now, for a second season, ZEE5’s intense newsroom drama The Broken News is returning.
Josh 24/7, headed by its ambitious young editor Dipankar Sanyal, and Awaaz Bharati News, hosted by seasoned newscaster Radha Bhargava, are going to ramp up their battle. The protagonists’ professional competition and personal troubles will become more intertwined in Season 2 of The Broken News, which promises to get further into their personal lives.
Plot
Radha was imprisoned and accused of terrorism at the end of the first season of The Broken News. The second season, however, will centre on Radha as she seeks revenge against Dipankar. Deep dives into politics, criminality, yellow journalism, and struggles for total viewership will be in store for Broken News 2.
Continuing from Season 1, Season 2 of The Broken News will supposedly go even further into the emotional and professional problems that affect the journalists working for Awaaz Bharti News and Josh 24/7. How Awaaz Bharti chief Amina Qureshi deals with this dangerous scenario while being an honest journalist will probably be the focus of Season 2. The piece will probably go into the lingering animosity between the two news outlets, which is fueled by a personal grudge.
The Broken News 2 trailer showed Radha getting even with Dipankar Sanyal. A shocker that can ruin Dipankar’s career is said to be revealed by Radha to Amina Qureshi in the trailer. In contrast, Amina admonishes Radha to stay focused on her objective and learn the true meaning of journalism.
When and Where to Watch?
On May 3, 2024, The Broken News 2 will have its debut. Similar to how the previous instalment debuted, the thriller series part 2 will also be available on ZEE5.

Radha Bhargava is played by Shriya Pilgaonkar, while Sonali Bendre is featured as Amina Qureshi. Jaideep Ahlawat will be back as Dipankar Sanyal in the series. Among the several notable actors and actresses featured in The Broken News 2 are Taaruk Raina, Indraneil Sengupta, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Faisal Rashid.
