New Delhi: The First Omen has made it to over-the-top streaming services only two months after its theatrical debut. This film is the sixth instalment in the Omen series and is a sequel to the 1976 original.
A global rollout of The First Omen began on April 5, 2024. With $53 million worldwide, the movie has been both critically and economically successful. However, it is unfortunate that it was not up to par, despite receiving the first Fresh Score for an Omen picture since the 1976 original.
Immaculate, which premiered two weeks before and followed a similar plot point (an American novitiate moves to an Italian convent and becomes pregnant), could have had a major influence. Because of their identical narrative, shared setting in Italy, and simultaneous releases, some have called The First Omen and Immaculate twin pictures.
This eerie horror thriller will be available on Disney Plus Hotstar on May 30 for horror film enthusiasts to view.
Plot
The protagonist, a young American lady, is a church servant in Rome who becomes entangled in a conspiracy to bring about the birth of the Devil. An American girl is sent to Rome by the church to start a life of service, but she meets a shadowy figure who makes her doubt her faith and finds out about a horrible plot to have the devil born.

When and Where to Watch?
Originating from 20th Century Studios, The First Omen is making its way into an over-the-top streaming platform two months following its theatrical debut. According to reports, the film will finally be available to watch on May 30, 2024, on the Disney Plus Hotstar platform.

Margaret (Nell Tiger Free), Father Brennan (Ralph Ineson), Sister Silva (Sonia Braga), Father Gabriel (Tawfeek Barhom), Luz (María Caballero), Father Harris (Charles Dance), Bill Nighy (Carlita Scianna), and many more are among the actors and actresses featured in The First Omen.
In addition to Arkasha Stevenson directing the film, Smith, Thomas, and Tim all contributed to the script, which was adapted from Ben Jacoby’s narrative.
