The Gray Man Twitter Review: Dhanush performs better than lead actors in spy thriller

The Netflix original has been directed by Anthony and Joe Russo who are popular for action movies like Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

New Delhi: Dhanush, Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling starrer The Gray Man was released on Netflix on Friday. The Netflix original has been directed by Anthony and Joe Russo who are popular for action movies like Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

The spy thriller was in an attempt to take over charge from the franchises like Mission Impossible or The Bourne Identity having elaborate action sequences and A-list cast members. The synopsis of the film states, “Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling) is The Gray Man, an elite ex-CIA operative whose reputation has branded him a formidable killer for hire. Gentry, code-named Sierra Six, is yanked from a federal penitentiary by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton) for a covert overseas assignment. While on a dangerous mission in exotic Bangkok with Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas), Gentry discovers that a rescue team dispatched to pull him out has been given orders to assassinate him. Now Sierra Six becomes hunted across the planet by the psychotic Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former CIA colleague who’ll stop at nothing to take him down.

With the release of the film, netizens took to social media to express their thoughts. Some appreciated the film and the overwhelming star cast. However, to some, the plot seemed to be weak.
