New Delhi: Anupam Kher starrer film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is going strong at the Box Office (BO) and is all set to create new records, in days to come.
The controversial movie has been minting money ever since its release and crossed Rs 200 crore mark in earnings on wednesday. Setting a new milestone, the movie entered an elite club of Bollywood films and has also brought the audience back to cinema halls & multiplexes in hordes, after the pandemic.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the details of phenomenal run of the movie at the Box Office. The Kashmir Files has become the highest grossing Hindi film in the pandemic era, he informed.
The movie, despite having an average star cast, trumped multi-starrer Sooryavanshi, which featured superstars like Akhshay, Ajay Devgan & Ranveer Singh.
The movie’s earnings have cross the lifetime business of Sooryavanshi. Just a couple of Bollywood movies have crossed Rs 200 mark and as The Kashmir Files enters the elite club, it’s a testimony to movie’s strong people connect.

The movie opened on a muted note on March 11 but just a day later registered surge in audience and has been going rock solid for past two weeks.
Ever since release, The Kashmir Files has been mired in controversy. Critics & certain political class have accused the film makers for peddling propaganda via their movie but the increasing footfalls at multiplexes and momentous response by people belies their claims.
Vivek Agnihotri directorial has captured the tumultuous events of 1990s when the Kashmiri Pandits were beaten, harassed & tortured and forced to flee their homes and valley, by Pakistan sponsored terrorists in connivance with the then state administration.
