The Kashmir Files is a Tsunami at Box Office, earns Rs 60 crore in 5 days

New Delhi: Vivek Agnihotri directorial The Kashmir Files has set the Box Office on fire, with the film witnessing exponential rise in footsteps, occupancy of cinema halls & earnings.

Going strong since its release, the movie recorded its best earnings of Rs 18 crore on Day 5. From Rs 3.35 crore on Day 1, the movie based on Kashmiri genocide of 1990s has struck right chord with the audience who are thronging the theatres in large numbers. The shows at multiplexes & cinema halls are running houseful and in packed capacity.

The Kashmir Files, releasing on March 11, depicts the harsh truth of valley in 1990s when Kashmiri Hindus were brutally massacred and forced out of their homes.

As per collections shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie did a whopping business of Rs 18 crore on Tuesday. It saw a rise of Rs 3 crore, as compared to Monday’s collection and the purse strings are expected to swell further.

The movie is set to become blockbuster soon. With mid-week holiday on account of Holi, it is likely to record new numbers and expected to enter Rs 100 crore club soon.

After 32 years of ‘ignorance’ & wretched life, they say, “we are able to connect with pain & agony that we went through and feel vindicated”.
