The song ‘I’m Just Ken’ from BARBIE by Ryan Gosling makes it into the Billboard HOT 100

The song “I’m Just Ken” from the Barbie movie soundtrack marks Ryan Gosling’s first entry on the Hot 100 list, peaking at position No. 87 as of the most recent ranking dated August 5.

New Delhi: With a song from the Barbie movie that has gone viral, Ryan Gosling has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. The song “I’m Just Ken” from the Barbie movie soundtrack marks Ryan Gosling’s first entry on the Hot 100 list, peaking at position No. 87 as of the most recent ranking dated August 5.

Luminate reports that in its first week, the song was streamed 5.2 million times in the United States and 2,000 downloads were sold in conjunction with the debut of the new Barbie film on July 21. In addition to its top-40 debut on Digital Song Sales, the single debuted at No. 4 on Hot Rock Songs.

The song is included on the soundtrack for Barbie: The Album, which was published on July 21 by Mattel/Atlantic Records/ Water Tower. With initial sales of 126,000 copies, the album debuts at position No. 2 on the Billboard 200, No. 1 on the Soundtracks chart, and No. 2 on Top Album Sales.

In a significant sequence, Ken sings about feeling like a second fiddle to Barbie both in their Barbie land and in the actual world. Ken sings during his major performance to highlight the numerous facets he feels make him more than simply Ken.

Gosling has been on other charts before, but “I’m Just Ken” is his debut entry on the Hot 100. With “City of Stars” from La La Land (2016), he debuted at number one on the charts. His solo version topped the Jazz Digital Song Sales list for two consecutive weeks, while his duet with co-star Emma Stone peaked at number eight on the Hot 100’s Bubbling Under chart and number forty-five on Digital Song Sales.
