Taking to its official social media handle, Netflix, on June 26th, 2024, unveiled the much-awaited trailer of The Union which garnered significant attention from social media users in no time.
Within a couple of weeks, the trailer amassed over 42 Lakh views on YouTube where netizens criticized it for giving away the entire story of the thriller series.
“Thanks for showing the entire movie. Your effort in editing the entire movie is appreciated.” wrote one user. Another remarked, “Netflix editor needs a raise for giving this movie a free watch pass for all and shortening it below 3 minutes.” A third comment read, “Respect to the video editor for delivering an entire movie under 3 minutes, even including the lead in and out segments.”
The Union Plot
Written by David Guggenheim, The Union tells the tale of an ordinary construction worker Mike whose lover from high school Roxanne secretly shoves him into the unforgiving world of spies, & secret agents.
There, Mike is compelled to train & work for a group called The Union, which indirectly provides its espionage services to the CIA & FBI. What happens after that and how Mike assists the US intelligence agencies in a crucial mission is what The Union is all about.
