Thudarum OTT Release: Will Mohanlal’s latest blockbuster’s digital premiere get delayed? All we know

Thudarum OTT Release Date: Veteran actor Mohanlal’s latest movie Thudarum wreaked havoc on the big screens. With its global BO collection standing tall at a whopping figure of Rs 250 crore +, the Shobana starrer film has already made history by emerging as the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time, dethroning L2: Empuraan in the process. Meanwhile, as the movie continues to hold strong at the Box Office, speculations about its OTT premiere getting delayed have already started doing the rounds all over the internet.

As per the latest reports,  Thudarum’s overwhelmingly positive reception from the cinemagoers has compelled its makers to postpone its OTT premiere to a later date. This, if true, would mean that the crime thriller’s digital release will now happen on a new date, which would be way beyond the conventional four-week window. However, an official word for the same is yet to be made by the filmmakers.

Plot

Helmed by Tharun Moorthy, Thadarum is the story of Shanmugham, a taxi driver who once used to work as a film stunt assistant. One day, the guy’s life takes a dramatic turn when his iconic Ambassador Mark 1 car gets involved in an investigation related to a serious crime. What happens next, and how Shanmugham handles the situation, is the remaining story of the movie.

Cast and Production 

Besides Mohanlal and Shobana, Thudarum also flaunts several skilled actors, including Prakash Varma, Maniyanpilla Raju, Farhaan Faasil, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, and Aarsha Chandini Baiju in its main cast. M. Renjith has produced the Malayalam blockbuster with Rajaputhra Visual Media serving as its official production company.
