New Delhi: Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, had a successful opening day. The espionage thriller, directed by Maneesh Sharma, debuted on Diwali, November 12. According to trade source Sacnilk, Tiger 3 had a fantastic opening day in India, earning a massive Rs 44.50 crore.

This is the third movie in the YRF spy series. One of the films that audiences were looking forward to seeing the most this year was this one.

Early trade figures provided by Sacnilk indicate that the thriller made a total of Rs 44.50 in India on its first day of release across all language versions. There was a 41.44 per cent occupancy rate recorded for the Hindi screenings. It has been reported that Tiger 3 was shown in 5,500 theatres in India and 3,400 theatres globally.

About the Film – Tiger 3

In the YRF Spy Universe, ‘Tiger 3’ follows ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ ‘War,’ and ‘Pathaan. Aditya Chopra is the film’s producer and it was directed by Maneesh Sharma. Pritam created the score and Tanuj Tiku did the music for the film.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are both back in the film in their previous roles as Avinash and Zoya. After 12 years apart from their respective intelligence services, Tiger and Zoya had no idea that their shared history would resurface in the form of an evil called Aatish. After 12 years apart, Aatish has returned with fury to upend Tiger and Zoya’s life, which in turn affects the political and social climate in India and Pakistan.

Review of the Film

The film wastes no time in immersing us in the universe of Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger and Zoya and introducing us to the story’s villains. The plot of Tiger 3 is driven by a consistent narrative that ties everything together and even resolves several open plot threads, which is a departure from the typical YRF espionage thriller.

Whether it’s the return of actors from Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai or the appearance of characters from previous espionage flicks in the same universe, the plot is full of unexpected twists and turns. There has never been anything like the action scenes in this film in Hindi cinema. Katrina Kaif once again demonstrates why she is the ultimate action star.

The first part of the narrative, however, is slow in getting going. The film’s storyline is driven by plot rather than high moments, which means it lacks the mass elevation found in the previous espionage universe picture starring Tiger, Kabir, and Pathaan. Pritam’s score for Tiger Zinda Hai falls short of the standards set by the prequels. Some improvements in the editing and quality of the score would have been welcome.

Although Salman Khan is at his best during the film’s action scenes, the most memorable parts of Tiger 3 are the dramatic and emotional ones. The performance that Katrina Kaif does as Zoya is outstanding. When paired against Tiger and Zoya, Emraan Hashmi’s Aatish is a formidable adversary.

Powered by the strong acting of Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, Tiger 3 has several large-scale action set pieces.
