Tiger 3: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer set fire to a worldwide opening of Rs 90 crore on its day 1

here was a 41.44 per cent audience occupancy percentage for the Hindi shows. Tiger 3 reportedly played in 5,500 Indian theatres and 3,400 internationally.

New Delhi: The opening day of Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, was a smashing success. The spy thriller, directed by Maneesh Sharma, was released on Diwali, November 12. In India, Tiger 3 reportedly earned an incredible Rs 44.50 crore on its first day in theatres.

Meanwhile, the film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif has had a record-breaking opening weekend worldwide.

Initial estimates for Diwali day opening suggest the film earned over Rs 93.00 crore on its first day globally, making it the highest-grossing debut for both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. According to a report from Pinkvilla, Tiger 3 has made Rs 52.50 crore (nett 43.75 crore) in revenue in India, and roughly Rs 41 crore (around USD 5 Million) in revenue from other worldwide markets.

According to Sacnilk’s early trade estimates, the total first-day earnings for all language versions of the thriller in India were Rs 44.50. There was a 41.44 per cent audience occupancy percentage for the Hindi shows. Tiger 3 reportedly played in 5,500 Indian theatres and 3,400 internationally.

Preliminary estimates suggest that the tally from a lot of places is still outstanding, but it seems like the YRF Spy Universe Film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif has had a phenomenal international opening that might have easily topped Rs 100 crore if it had been released on a typical Friday. Without the restrictions in Oman and Qatar, first-day international sales could have been somewhat stronger. Due to an irregular release schedule, belt sales throughout the globe will dip today, only to rebound on Friday as the weekend draws near.

The box office total of Tiger Zinda Hai was USD 20.30 million, and the primary objective for Tiger 3 will be to surpass that number in the foreign markets to become the most successful picture in the Tiger series outside of India.

The two Shah Rukh Khan-starrer flicks – Pathaan and Jawan, were released earlier this year on January 25 and September 7, respectively, and the film has recorded the highest worldwide opening weekend of all time for a Hindi language film.

When we talk about the first day of business, we can say that Tiger 3 (Rs 93.00 crore) has registered the third greatest opening of all time for a Bollywood film, behind Jawan (Rs 127 crore) and Pathaan (Rs 106 crore).

About the Film – Tiger 3
