New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer rom-com ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ has been released on OTT for the audience to enjoy it once again. Luv Ranjan’s film earned a positive response at the box office and is now streaming on OTT to cater to an even larger audience. The film is streaming on Netflix and the platform shared an interesting video with Ranbir to make the announcement.
The video shared by Netflix India begins with Ranbir assuming that he has been called for an interview but the crew asks him to make the announcement instead. He says the line and asks for another take as he was there assuming a longer work.
The OTT platform released the trailer of the film on its YouTube channel a day before.
The film revolves around a couple wanting to end their relationship but does not and rather start playing some dirty games. It is a story of a “playboy” meeting a tough competitor and apart from Ranbir and Shraddha, the film also stars Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor and comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi.
The songs from the film proved to be chartbusters and the music was done by the popular trio of Pritam-Arijit Singh-Amitabh Bhattacharya.
‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ was released on March 8 in cinemas and over Rs 200 crore at the box office. While the audience was entertained, the film earned a mixed response from the audience. The borderline sexism in Luv Ranjan’s films, including this one, also became a reason for critics not giving it a positive reaction.
