New Delhi: Chikkanna made his dream debut as a lead actor in Anil Kumar’s February release Kannada Comedy Entertainer Upadhyaksha. In the theaters, the film received a welcoming response from the masses who helped it become a good commercial success.
Despite being made on a small budget of Rs 4 crore (Approximately), Upadhyaksha ended its remarkable run on a happy note and raked in Rs 8 crore from the Box Office. Now, days after wowing the cine-goers, the film has arrived on digital platforms to entertain the OTTians with its rib-tickling humor & captivating story.

What’s Upadhyaksha about?
Upadhyaksha is the tale of Narayana (Chikanna) who holds the position of Vice president of the Chee Too Association in Gejjepura village of the Mandya district and always stands as a hurdle in the work of Shiva Rudregowda, an influential leader of the region.
Although Chikanna gets several opportunities to get promoted and become president, he keeps turning them down due to his respect and bond with the current president Chandrashekar Gowda (Sharan). However, his life takes a major turn when Shiva Rudregowda’s beautiful young daughter Anjali (Malaika Vasupal) falls for him and leaves her father extremely upset by departing from her home with him.
