Plot
In a quiet, fictional village tucked away from the hustle of city life, an unexpected crisis throws the entire community into disarray — the village cemetery has officially run out of space. What begins as a grim logistical issue soon snowballs into a comical, heartfelt saga as the villagers scramble to address the shortage of burial plots in increasingly bizarre and inventive ways.
The crisis erupts when a beloved elder passes away, and his family discovers, to their shock, that no space remains for his final resting place. The news spreads like wildfire, and soon, the entire village grapples with the dilemma. As tradition and sentiment clash with practicality, everyone — from the panchayat head and quirky gravedigger to the eccentric town priest and gossip-loving grandmothers — voices their opinion on what should be done.
What follows is a whirlwind of humorous debates and unconventional brainstorming sessions. Some propose vertical graves, while others argue for cremation or relocation of older remains. A group of schoolchildren suggest a crowdfunding campaign to buy land from a neighboring village, while a local builder offers a “grave tower” — a multi-storied mausoleum inspired by modern apartment blocks.
Amid the hilarity, heartfelt moments emerge. The situation forces the villagers to confront long-buried grievances, reevaluate outdated customs, and come together as a community in a way they haven’t in years. As arguments give way to understanding and chaos yields to compassion, the villagers begin to realize that sometimes the strangest problems can spark the most meaningful change.
