Uprising OTT Release Date: The Korean dramas have a huge fan base and the streaming platforms carry interesting content on the same. keeping this in mind, Netflix is coming with an exciting thriller Korean film ‘Uprising’. The movie will begin streaming from 11th October 2024.
The Historical war action film was premiered in the Busan International Film Festival as an opening film on October 2nd 2024. The writer of the Korean drama Park-Chan-Wook revealed that he started writing the script for a long time but was able to finish it in 2019.
Plot
The story of the film follows the lives of two childhood friends who later turns into enemies during the Japanese invasion of Korea. The Streaming Platform shared the teaser of the historical drama
The teaser shows Cheon-yeong as he wishes to get free from his servitude and aspires to acquire his position when he feels devastated when his friend Jong-Reyo’s family refuses to do so.
However, Cheon-yeong is a slave who aspires to live a life with freedom. He carries incredible martial prowess and wanted to break free from an unjust servitude. Meanwhile, his master refuses to set him free which breaks his heart.
Their life long friendship takes a dramatic turn and they turn into enemies.
In the Joseon Dynasty, two friends — one the master and one the servant — reunite post-war as enemies on opposing sides.

Cast and Production
The film is directed by Kim-Sang-Man and it stars Gang Dong-won as Cheon-yeonng, Park Jeong-min as Jong-ryeo, Kim Shin-rock, Jin Sun-kyu, Jung Sung-il and Cha Seung-won as King Seonjo in pivotal roles.
