Vaazhai OTT Release Date: The digital streaming date of Mari Selvaraj’s highly acclaimed & commercially successful movie titled Vaazhai is now finally out. The movie did very well in terms of its theatrical release. It was liked by audience and got good ratings from critics. It was released in theaters on 23rd August 2024.

The rural drama’s official digital partner Disney + Hotstar has officially unveiled that the promising film, featuring Ponvel M. and Raghul R as lead actors, will make its much-awaited OTT premiere on the platform on October 11, 2024, triggering a wave of excitement amongst Tamil movie enthusiasts.

Vaazhai OTT Release Date Announcement  

On September 25th, 2024, Disney + Hotstar Tamil took to its official social media & officially confirmed the news of Vaazhai’s arrival on its platform in multiple languages.

Sharing an Instagram post with the fans, the streamer dropped a poster of the film & wrote, “Vaazhai Streaming From October 11 on Disney+ Hotstar. Streaming in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.”

Plot of the Film

Vaazhai takes viewers on an emotional heartwrenching journey, showcasing the life struggles of Sivandhan, an innocent child from an oppressed community.

The film shows how, in the age of having fun with friends & enjoying friends Sivandahan’s life’s circumstances compel him to work hard in banana fields in the village of Kurugula along with his mother and sister. It also shows how the young boy never gives up on his studies and manages his studies with his work simultaneously.

Production and Cast  

In its star cast, Vaazhai sees Ponvel M. and Raghul R. playing pivotal roles with Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, Nivedita Rajappan, Pathmen, Karnan Janki amongst others supporting them by essaying key side characters.

Mari Selvaraj, Sajith Sivanandan, and Dhilip Subbarayan have bankrolled the film under the banners of Navvi Studios, Farmer’s Master Plan Productions, and Disney+ Hotstar.
