New Delhi: In a recent interview, Vijay Varma candidly addressed the speculation surrounding their relationship, dismissing any notion of it being a publicity stunt to promote the project.
During a previous interview, Tamannaah had described Vijay Varma as her “happy place.” In response, Vijay reciprocated the sentiment, revealing that his affection for her extended beyond happiness and that he was “madly in love with her.”
Addressing the relationship speculation, Vijay told GQ India, “I think it’s fairly understood now that we are dating each other.” Expanding on his bond with Tamannaah, he continued, “I am happy and madly in love with her. I call this my ‘I’ve ended my villain era and gotten into the romance era’ phase of life.”

In a previous interview with Film Companion in June, Tamannaah opened up about her connection with Vijay, emphasizing that attraction is not solely based on professional circumstances. She stated, “I don’t think you can get attracted to someone just because they are your co-star. I think if one has to fall for someone, feel something for someone, it’s definitely more personal, it’s nothing to do with what they do for a living, I mean, that’s not the reason why this would happen.”
Tamannaah also admired Vijay, noting that she looked up to him and that their bond developed organically. She affectionately referred to Vijay as her “happy place” and emphasized her deep care for him.
Reports of Vijay and Tamannaah’s relationship initially surfaced when a video capturing a tender moment between the two during their Goa trip circulated online in January. Since then, the dating rumors have persisted, with the couple being spotted together in Mumbai and making joint appearances at various events. Their connection blossomed during the filming of Lust Stories 2, in which they starred in Sujoy Ghosh’s segment titled “Sex with Ex.”
