New Delhi: After a successful run in the theatres, Kiccha Sudeep’s ‘Vikrant Rona’ is coming to an OTT platform. The Kannada action film was released on July 28 and fans did not have to wait for long to have it on their mobile and laptop screens. Written and directed by Anup Bhandari, the film is an entertaining fantasy-adventure drama.
The story is set almost half a century ago, in a remote village in the middle of a tropical rainforest, where people start witnessing a series of unexplainable events which they attribute to the supernatural. The film stars Kichha Sudeep in the titular role along with Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok and Jaqueline Fernandez as Raquel D’Costa aka Gadang Rakkama.

The film is set to release on Zee5 on September 2. The streamer made the announcement on the Kannada Twitter page of Zee5. The video teaser of the film was tweeted with the release date in the caption. The film will release in five languages, namely, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
The cinematography was handled by William David, who is known for his work in ‘Avatar Purusha’. The music in the film has been composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, who is credited for his work in ‘Akira’, ‘Ratnan Prapancha’ and ‘Bell Bottom’, while a song has been composed by Anup Bhandari himself. The dialogues are penned by John Mahendran.
The popular song ‘Ra Ra Rakkama’ has been sung by Nakash Aziz and Sunidhi Chauhan. The film is produced under the banner of Shalini Artss and Kiccha Creatiions.
