New Delhi: ‘In this Together’ campaign started by Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli has managed to raise more than Rs 11 crore. The proceeds will go towards Covid-19 relief work.
Anushka took to social media to thank people who donated for the cause.
Announcing that they have raised Rs 11 crore for Covid relief, Anushka Sharma thanked fans for their donations.
She wrote on Instagram, “Truly amazed and humbled by the spirit of solidarity that you all have shown. We are proud to announce that we have raised more than our initial target and it will go a long way to save lives. Thank you for your overwhelming support in helping the people of India. This wouldn’t be possible without you. Jai Hind (sic).”

The couple also released a video, informing the fans about their target of raising Rs 11 crore. They also expressed gratitude to all the contributors.
The couple started the campaign with their own contribution of Rs 2 crore towards the campaign run on the crowd-funding platform Ketto.

Virat-Anushka started campaign on May 7 by donating Rs 2 crores
The celebrity couple partnered with Ketto and started #InThisTogether campaign on May 7. In the video, they urged fans and followers to extend support to help nation fight the pandemic. They managed to raise Rs 3.6 crores in a single day after donating Rs 2 crore themselves.
