New Delhi: It was just a few days back when Aamir Khan was requested by his newlywed daughter Ira Khan to teach paps how to take her name correctly and yesterday Bollywood diva Kriti Senon saw herself facing the same situation at a film’s promotional event.
The incident happened at the trailer launch event of Kirti’s upcoming film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya in which the actress will share the screen for the first time with film industry’s Kabir Singh Shahid Kapoor.
Shahid Kapoor tells Paparazzi to take Kriti Sanon’s name correctly
During the event, when Shahid and Kriti were posing for the Paparazzi, the latter was seen telling paps how they should pronounce Kirti’s surname correctly saying, “Inka Naam hai Kriti Sanon.” Reacting to the same, the Adipurush actress was then spotted jokingly pretending to hit Shahid despite which, the actor continued to teach paps about the correct pronunciation of her name.
Later, when despite Shahid’s clear instructions, the journalists took Kriti’s name incorrectly once again and called her “Kirti Senon”, the actress told Shahid to stop saying, “Wo already mera nam galat bol rahe hai” (they are already taking my name incorrectly please).
However, determined to make the paps say Kirti’s name correctly, Shahid made them take her name repeatedly after him until they finally got its correct pronunciation.

As the video of Shahid & Kriti’s hilarious interaction with the paparazzi went viral on the internet, netizens also took to the comment section and shared their reactions to the same.
One user wrote, “Kriti is getting uncomfortable. The second one added, “Another one said, “Bekar log” A third fan commented, “Paps are deliberately mispronouncing her name.”

The film is helmed by ace director Amit Joshi and features several talented actors including Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Senon, Dharmendra, and Dimple Kapadia in its lead cast. It is set to grace the cinemas under the banner of Maddock Film & Jio Cinemas on 9 February 2024.
