New Delhi: Renowned actress & celebrated Television personality Hina Khan enjoys a massive following amongst fans across India.

Initially popular for her iconic role in Star Plus super hit TV drama Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata hai, Hina’s fame doubled post her participation in Salman Khan’s blockbuster reality show  Bigg Boss 11’s house in the year 2017.

During her days inside the BB House, Hina not only captivated the viewers with her active involvement in several task-related activities but also remained in the limelight over her bold remarks &  intense verbal showdowns’ with her fellow contestants.

Out of all the controversies ignited by Hina in the reality show, the one that triggered the biggest public outcry was her stereotypical remarks about the casting choices of the South Indian film Industry. With her comments, the Hacked actress angered a massive section of fans & celebrities who later bashed her indiscriminately for the same.

‘They Like Heavier Bodies’

Hina made the objectionable statement while having a normal conversation with her co-housemates inside the Bigg Boss 11 house. During the convo, the 36-year-old made a shocking claim about South Indian movie directors and alleged that prefers actresses who have a heavy-bulging physics.

She didn’t just stop there and further revealed how she declined to work with iconic South Indian superstars like Mahesh Babu and Chiranjeevi after the filmmakers asked her to gain weight for the role.

Within no time, Hina’s words irked several names from the film industry who went on to express their disappointment and anger with the actress in the following days.

Acclaimed Indian actress Kriti Kharbanda, who has a decent experience of working within both Bollywood  & South Indian industry, was also among all those who lost their cool over Hina Khan’s outrageous words.

Slamming the Bigg Boss 11 fame for the same, Kriti, while speaking in an interview, called Hina’s remarks ‘unfortunate’ and said that the actress has lost respect in her eyes after the incident. Continuing to fume over Hina, the Raaz reboot actress further showcased her and said, “What do she mean by bulging? Do thappad Khayegi udhar hi (she will get smacked twice then and there).

Meanwhile, on her professional front, Hina is currently basking in the success of her recently released track Halki Halki Si. In the musical track’s video, the actress has shared the screen with acclaimed stand-up comedian & Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui.

The song, voiced by Asees Kaur and Saaj Bhatt, is garnering an overwhelming response from the fans and has already received over 12 Million views in a matter of two weeks.
