2. Manjhi: The Mountain Man

Starting as a love story, ‘Manjhi: The Mountain Man’ becomes a survival story for Manjhi who has to battle a mountain as he vows to break it. The film follows the themes of love, determination and courage. In the movie, the protagonist has to survive the natural calamities and other challenges posed in front of him.

3. NH10

A married couple comes across a gang and now has to survive in a totally unknown location. ‘NH10’ directed by Navdeep Singh and written by Sudip Sharma has one of the career-best performances by Anushka Sharma. The film also stars Neil Bhoopalam and Darshan Kumaar.

4. Malayankunju

‘Malayankunju’ is a unique survival thriller starring Fahadh Faasil. The film follows Anikkuttan, an ill-tempered technician when his life is disrupted by a newborn baby bringing up memories from his past. The film is directed by Sajimon Prabhakar and also stars Rajisha Vijayan, John Antony, Jaffer Idukki and others.

5. O2

Written and directed by G.S. Viknesh, ‘O2’ follows a mother and her son trapped in a landslide. They need to survive while the son is running out of oxygen. The 2022 film stars Nayanthara at her best with Rithvik Joshi Raj playing her son.
