New Delhi: The American actor Tony Todd who was known for his character in the most popular Candyman series passed away in his home in Los Angeles. He was 69 years old. However the cause of his death is yet to be revealed by the family members.
He had two children and according to some media reports, he died of Cancer.
Todd was born in Washington DC on December 4th, 1954. He spent his childhood in Hartford, Connecticut. He studies in the Connecticut University and then joined the other school to study theater.
The American actor had appeared in more than 100 films in theater and television and has worked with many popular Bollywood stars. He also received many awards during his lifetime for his performance in TV shows and films.

The Çandyman actor also acted in the 1990 remake ‘Night of the Living Dead’ in which he played Ben.
Todd also received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in 1992’s Candyman at the New York City Horror Film Festival. He was seen in many series like ‘Law and Order, ‘Homicide’, ‘Life on the Streets’, ‘Hercules’, ‘The X Files’, ‘Criminal Minds’, ’21 Jump Street’ and ‘Chuck’ etc.
He also played many characters in Star Trek and played a major role in Baylon 5 TV Film A Call to Arms.
