New Delhi: After dominating the US movie office, Warner Bros.’s family-friendly smash Wonka is making an unexpected arrival to your OTT space. The musical film premiered on December 8, 2023, and Timothee Chalamet played the role of young Willy Wonka. Paul King, known for his work on Paddington, helmed the narrative, and it was a visual feast.
Wonka will likely be available for online viewing on the date announced by Warner Bros. UK, one month following the film’s theatrical launch. Amazon Prime Video will host the digital streaming premiere of the colourful remake of Roald Dahl’s iconic story, which has made more than $513 million globally on a budget of $125 million.

Storyline
The film chronicles the rise to fame of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character Willy Wonka, starring Hugh Grant, Matt Lucas, Sally Hawkins, and others. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a well-loved story, and Wonka serves as a prequel to that story. In it, we follow a newcomer to town who, per his mother’s last desire, is prepared to create and sell chocolate.
The story follows a youthful Willy Wonka as he starts his profession as an eccentric chocolatier. The story explores his early travels with the Oompa-Loompas and how they first met. Everyone is hoping for a magical and entertaining adventure that will reveal where Wonka’s magical world came from.
