30-year-old dies in Delhi’s hit-and-run case, man seen lying on the roof of the car; one arrested

A case of murder has been registered by the Delhi Police in connection with this incident. Following the incident, the suspects have been arrested, but the name is yet to be reveled by the Police.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a man was killed and another was left severely injured in a hit-and-run case in Delhi. The whole incident was caught on camera. The incident is said to have occured in National Capital’s high-security VIP zone on Saturday night.

According to the eyewitness, the individual who recorded the video said that the incident took place at the intersection of Kasturba Gandhi Marg and Tolstoy Marg.

Following the motorcycle was hit, one of the men on two wheeler was thrown on the roof of the car while the other was thrown several feet away.

After hitting the motorcycle, the man inside the car did not stop his vehicle instead he continued driving with the injured man still on the roof.

Accident

The eye witness idetified as Mohammad Bilal, said that he followed the fleeing vehicle on his scooter while recording the incident on camera. He said that despite all his effort to stop the vehicle the man inside the car did not stop.

After driving for almost 3 kilometers, the car driver dumped the the injured man off the car near Delhi Gate and fled the scene.

After the incident, the  30-year-old man identified as Deepanshu Verma died from his injuries, while his cousion, 20-year-old Mukul, who was also injured in the incident, is in critical condition.

A case of murder has been registered by the Delhi Police in connection with this incident. Following the incident, the suspects have been arrested, but the name is yet to be reveled by the Police.

The youg man who lost his life in this incident, ran a jewellery shop and also he was the only child of his parents.
