Aayushi Chaudhary Murder: Angry father shot her, mother helped him dispose of the body, says Police

The victim’s father was arrested after the police questioned him when he went to identify the body.

New Delhi: Police arrested the parents of the 25-year-old woman whose body was found in a red suitcase thrown away in a secluded area in Mathura on Nov 18.

SP City said the parents killed their daughter for marrying a man of her choice. He also said that a licensed weapon that was used in the murder has been recovered.

Police said that the victim, Ayushi Yadav was allegedly killed by her father and her mother helped him dispose of her body.

Sources said that Ayushi’s father Nitesh Yadav allegedly shot her, he was angry that she had gone out for some days without informing him. He was also very angry that his daughter had married a man from a different caste, and for staying out till late night.

The victim, Ayushi Yadav was a student of Bachelor of Computer Application in Delhi.

After the body was recovered from the red suitcase, the Police started checking CCTV footage, tracing phones, using social media, and also putting up posters in Delhi to identify the woman.

However, information about her was received only after a phone call from an unknown person on Sunday morning, later her brother and mother identified her through photographs.

According to sources, the victim had married a man named Chhatrapal, from another caste, without telling her family.
After shooting her with a licenced gun, her father allegedly packed her body in a suitcase and dumped it in Mathura.
