‘Ageing’ Grammy winner astounded with PM Modi’s youthfulness, throws 7 year challenge; netizens react

New Delhi: Two-times Grammy winner Ricky Kej met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and got lauded for his exceptional feat and endeavours in creating music. The Bengaluru-based artiste dedicated his Grammy Award to #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav and India@75.

However, it was the aura & youthfulness of PM Modi that left an indelible mark on the musician. Enamoured by Prime Minister’s youth appeal & evergreen outlook, the music composer threw a 7 year challenge on Twitter and sought people’s opinion and participation.

Ricky Kej picked his first Grammy award when he was 33. And, won it again on April 4 this year for his composition – Divine Tides. He composed this Album in collaboration with American musician Steward Copeland. After winning the second Grammy, he admitted that represented India at such a prestigious event was highly fulfilling experience for him and the feeling of winning trophy was yet to sink in.

“It’s feel surreal. I felt it was never possible, with me being in India, living in India and making niche music in the country. I never thought about this but God has been kind,” he told scribes.
