Agra: Video of man beating up wife tied to pole, dragging her caught on camera; accused absconding

Sikandra police station in-charge Anand Kumar Shahi said that the accused has been identified as Shyambihari, the husband of the victim, Kusuma Devi.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a video of a women tied to an electric pole has gone viral on social media. In the video, the women is seen being beaten up by a man.

The video which is 22-second long shows Shayambihari, the husband of Kusuma Devi, beating her up as she is tied to a pole and later can be seen dragging her behind him.

According to the police, it is said that the incident took place on July 14 in Arsena village located within the Sikandra police station limits in Agra.

After the incident, the case was registered and since then, the accused and his mother have been missing, said police.

Sikandra police station in-charge Anand Kumar Shahi said that the accused has been identified as Shyambihari, the husband of the victim, Kusuma Devi.

Shahi said that the mother and the son were booked under sections 323 , 504, 342  and 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The victim, Kusuma Devi in her complaint claimed that on July 14, she was beaten up by her husband and mother-in-law and was threatened not to complain about the incident to police.
