Air India pilot allows woman friend into cockpit on flight, DGCA orders probe

In the complaint it has been alleged that the captain wanted that his female friend must feel welcoming inside, so he had asked the crew to make sure about it.

New Delhi: An Air India pilot who was operating from Dubai to Delhi allowed a female friend in the cockpit, on February 27 which violates the  DGCA safety norms.

The DGCA said that a probe has been launced in this matter after a complaint was made by a member of the cabin crew.

In the complaint it has been alleged that the captain wanted that his female friend must feel welcoming inside, so he had asked the crew to make sure about it.

Following the incident, the Air India constituted a committee to investigate the matter.

The airlines also confirmed that they recieved the complaint on March 3.

On the other hand, the Air India spokesperson did not comment anything on the matter.

The DGC summoned the flight crew to appear on Friday for the first time after the incident.

Apart from this, issues and complaint started on AI 915 began even before the boarding. The cabin crew also waited for the pilot beyond the reporting time, and later he entered the aircraft with meeting them.
