Arnab Goswami attacked: How fellow journalists including Smita Prakash, Rahul Kanwal reacted

ANI editor Smita Prakash also shared a video in which the attacker is seen to have no remorse for the incident & is rather proud of how he accosted Republic TV editor-in-chief.

New Delhi: Hours after Republic TV ediror-in-chief Arnab Goswami alleged that he was attacked by Youth Congress workers at the behest of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, the journalistic fraternity took to the social media to express their views.

Many journalists outrightly condemned the assault on journalist for doing his duty while a few called it staged.

Condemning the attack, ANI editor Smita Prakash also shared a video in which the attacker is seen to have no remorse for the incident & is rather proud of how he accosted Republic TV editor-in-chief.

“One of the two attackers while boarding the police jeep last night, says about Arnab “he is not a journalist, first of all you should know it”. As if that justifies accosting any citizen and his wife, throwing ink (probably) on his car,” ANI editor tweeted.

India Today news director Rahul Kanwal wrote, “You set up a nightly cock fight. Initially it has novelty. Then viewers get bored. It’s repetitive. Predictable. Ratings nose dive. You go crazy. Pressure starts showing. Ratings slip further. Then suddenly you are on the edge. How low can one go? That’s the big question.”
