New Delhi: Hours after Republic TV editor in chief Arnab Goswami and wife were attacked early this morning in Mumbai two people has been arrested in connection.
An FIR has also been registered by NM Joshi Marg Police station under sec 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint) and 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of IPC: DCP Zone 3.
Both Arnab and Samia Goswami were unhurt in the attack while they were driving home from their studios.
As per Arnab, at around 12.15 AM, when he and his wife were driving back to their residence, his car was joined by two bike borne men who kept driving parallel to him for a while while looking inside his car.

They suddenly overtook his car and stopped their bike. When he tried to avoid them and drive away, the men allegedly began hitting on his car’s window pane, in an attempt to break it, he added.
As he attempted to escape the attackers then began throwing liquid filled bottles at his car. He ultimately stepped on the gas and swerved his car away from the spot. As per Arnab the duo was then ultimately apprehended by his security personnel who were following behind him.
A video of Arnab’s damaged car was also shared by his media network.

Arnab said that he later spoke to his security detail they informed him that the attackers were Youth Congress workers who allegedly confessed that they were given instructions to carry out the attack.
