Axis My India exit poll: BJP seen making big gains in MP, UP and Gujarat by-polls

According to Axis My India exit polls, Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government is set to get more teeth with BJP predicted to win major share of 28 assembly seats that went to by-polls.

New Delhi: Along with Bihar Assembly Elections, by-polls were conducted in 54 assembly constituencies across 10 states – Madhya Pradesh (28), Gujarat (8), and Uttar Pradesh (7).

Other Assembly constituencies in states which went to polls include – Karnataka (2), Jharkhand (2), Odisha (2), Nagaland (2), Haryana (1), Chhattisgarh (1) and Telangana (1).

According to Axis My India exit polls, Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government is set to get more teeth with BJP predicted to win major share of 28 assembly seats that went to by-polls.

BJP is being projected to win 16-18 assembly seats while Congress is estimated to bag rest of 10-12 seats. BSP is predicted to win 0-1 seat in MP by-polls.

In terms of vote share, BJP & Congress are evenly poised with 46% and 43% respectively.

The marked increased in BJP’s voteshare is purportedly attributed to Jyotiraditya Scindia, as he quit Congress and joined BJP along with 23 legislators, resulting in collapse of Kamal Nath government earlier this year.

Uttar Pradesh by-polls

According to Axis My India exit polls, the BJP is likely to bag 5-6 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh by-polls. Other parties including Samajwadi Party and BSP are seen wining 1-2 seats and and 0-1 respectively.

Yogi Adityanath

If Axis My India figures are correct, it would mean a big thumbs up for Yogi government.

In terms of vote share, BJP will a total of 37% vote share while Congress will have estimated 8% vote share. SP will end up with 27% vote share while BSP will manage to hold on to 20% vote share.

Gujarat by-polls

Gujarat is another state where Axis My India has predicted major electoral gains for BJP. According to exit polls, BJP is expected to win 6-7 of assembly seats while Congress is seen winning 0-1 seats.
