New Delhi: West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh on Wednesday alleged that he was attacked by TMC workers when he went for tea at a stall in North 24 Parganas district.
“I was en route going for a cup of tea when I was attacked by TMC workers. My vehicle was vandalised and the security personnel was also manhandled. I do not know what is TMC’s problem,” he said.

‘You can imagine the law and order situation in Bengal. I don’t know why Trinamool Congress is scared of me…’ Ghosh added. Ghosh alleged the attack was carried out by local TMC leader Tapas Mukherjee. However, Mukherjee refuted these allegations.
Congress Lok Sabha leader Adhir Chowdhury criticised the attack on Ghosh and said there is no security for Opposition party leaders in West Bengal. The TMC however denied such allegations.
