Bengal Opinion Poll 2021: Lead for TMC, massive voteshare swing for BJP; Cong-Left on the fringes

As per ABP News CVoter Snap Poll, BJP is seen making big inroads but not enough to demolish the TMC citadel. Opinion poll suggests that TMC will get the majority as it is projected to bag 160 seats while BJP is seen at 112 seats, a whopping gain of 109 seats from 2016 Assembly polls.

New Delhi: Elections in 5-poll bound states are set to begin later this month, with Bengal going to vote on March 27 in first phase. TMC-led West Bengal is at the centrestage of electoral politics as BJP has waged a strong battle to oust the TMC govt from power. Whether Mamata will be able to hold fort – is a question on everybody’s mind.

The Opinion Poll, conducted by ABP CVoter gives a quick round up of the electorate mood in Bengal and also if the high-octane campaign has swayed public opinion towards any party.

More than 25% swing in BJP voteshare


Attribute to BJP’s ever-increasing presence in Left dominated Bengal or charged-up poll campaign by top BJP leadership, the BJP is set to register its highest vote share in the Assembly elections. BJP voteshare may jump more than 25% in the elections, as compared to previous elections.

 

Bengal elections - Mamata & Amit Shah

As per ABP-C Voter Snap Poll, 42.1% of voters still believe in Mamata-ledTMC, which may witness a marginal dip of 2.8% from the 2016 Assembly Elections. BJP which had 10% vote share in 2016 is seen breathing down Didi’s neck as the saffron party is seen grabbing 37.4% of vote share, as per latest snap poll conducted by ABP News and C-Voter.

BJP seen limiting to 100-120 seats while TMC crossing 150


As per ABP News CVoter Snap Poll, BJP is seen making big inroads but not enough to demolish the TMC citadel. Opinion poll suggests that TMC will get the majority as it is projected to bag 160 seats while BJP is seen at 112 seats, a whopping gain of 109 seats from 2016 Assembly polls.

TMC is likely to garner 152 to 168, BJP will dangle in between 104 to 120 seats, the newly formed alliance between Congress-Left and ISF will get in between 18 to 26 seats.

Bengal will go to 1st phase of polling on March 27. Polling will be conducted in 8 phases from March 27 to April 29 and results will be announced on May 2.
