New Delhi: A spine-chilling video has been going around the internet which shows a biker nearly escaping death even coming under a wheel of a bus. The video was recently shared by Bengaluru’s Joint Commission of traffic police Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda urging bikers to use only “good quality ISI mark helmet.”
The now-viral video opens with a man, identified as Alex Silva Peres, riding a bike when at a turn he falls right under the bus coming from the opposite direction. The wheel is seen hitting the head of the 19-year-old who is covered with a helmet.

The bus then comes to a stop and its helmet of Alex gets stuck under the wheel. The bus reverses back to release the helmet, with passersby gathering to help Alex, who manages to walk away. With the clip going viral online, Bengaluru Traffic Police also shared the message on the importance of a helmet. The post read, “Wearing helmet is equally important for the pillion rider.”

The local media outlet, Istoe reported that the incident took place on Monday in Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro. Alex escaped death narrowly and was unlucky unharmed. Reportedly, he was going to a bakery to buy bread for his family when he faced his accident. He tried stopping the bike and ended up falling under the bus.
The video was taken by storm, receiving 30,000 views and several likes and comments. One of the users wrote, “Omg very scary, but yes good helmet can save ur life,” while another commented, “The video is scary and not from India. But the point is well understood.”
