Chaos at Akhilesh Yadav’s press meet, mediapersons manhandled; TV scribe injured (VIDEO)

Last week, the SP chief Akhilesh Yadav lost his temper at a journalist who questioned him about his party leader’s alleged involvement in the Hathras murder case and said he was a “sold” journalist.

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s press meet in Moradabad witnessed major chaos and pandemonium as his security men allegedly manhandled mediapersons. In the push and shove, a TV scribe reportedly fell down and got injured.

The fracas apparently broke out over a question to former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav. According to reports, SP chief lost his cool and yelled at the reporter, following which his securitymen roughed up the jounalists and even tried to muzzle their voice.

Videos of the uproar at Akhilesh Yadav’s press conference have gone viral on social media.

UP working journalist Union has condemned the ‘rough treatment’ of journalists at the high-profile press conference in Moradabad. It has demanded probe into the incident and action against the ‘assaulters’.

Not the first time! Akhilesh told scribe, ‘Bik gaye ho tum’

“Bik gaye ho tum (you have been sold)…Kya naam hai tumhare news channel ka? (What is the name of your news channel). Bike hue aadmi ho tum,” he said, snapping at the journalist.

50-year-old Ambrish Sharma was shot dead by unidentified men in Naujarpur village of Hathras district for allegedly lodging a complaint against against a man for molesting his daughter. The victim’s daughter named an SP leader as the accused in the murder.
