CM Yogi gets emotional remembering his gurus during visit to native village

While addressing a gathering, CM Yogi got emotional as he remembered his Gurus and shared some anecdotes from his childhood.

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath started his three-day tour to Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Yogi Adityanath unveiled the statue of Brahmalin Mahant Avadyanath at Guru Gorakhnath Mahavidyalaya campus in Yamkeshwar, Pauri Garhwal. Besides, the CM of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, and other senior BJP officials were also present.

Yogi Adityanath got emotional

While addressing a gathering, CM Yogi got emotional as he remembered his Gurus and shared some anecdotes from his childhood. “Today, it is a matter of even more pride for me that I have received the privilege of meeting and honouring the gurus of my school. I have studied here from 1st to 9th standard. After that, I left my village with my father. I am also sad as many of the gurus are not here with me”, he said with a teary eye.”

Yogi also addressed the youth of Uttarakhand stating, “The education here (Uttarakhand) is as good. We have to pursue those possibilities as much as possible. Wherever the youth of this place goes, they will definitely prove their talent and make the nation proud. We have also read and known here.”

CM Yogi unveils Guru Mahant Avaidyanath statue

Yogi Adityanath unveiled the statue of guru Mahant Avaidyanath at Guru Gorakhnath Mahavidyalaya campus in Yamkeshwar, Pauri Garhwal. Mahant hailed from a resident of Kandi village. Yogi Adityanath was influenced by him and became a monk.

Yogi visited his native village for the first time after becoming CM

After heading the UP government as the CM, Yogi visited Uttarakhand many times but never got the chance to visit his native village. Besides, CM Yogi will have a small meet-up with his childhood friends and the people of that area. He will also visit his village to seek the blessing of his mother and sister Shashi Singh.

Reportedly, Yogi’s sister emotionally pleaded with him to come home once and meet his mother who keeps on remembering him day and night. As per the source, he will be staying at his home for a night.
