CM Yogi’s Diwali gift: Over 50 lakh youth to get employment under ‘Mission Rojgar’

Yogi government has set a target of employing over 50 lakh youth in the state from November 2020 to March 2021. Through this campaign, Youth will get a chance to apply for jobs in government departments, councils, corporations.

New Delhi: Announcing the launch of a mega employment drive, the Uttar Pradesh government has set up a target of providing employment to more than 50 lakh youth of the state by next year.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will launch ‘Mission Rojgar’ post-Diwali, under which unemployed or those who have lost their jobs will be given job opportunities.

Yogi government has set a target of employing over 50 lakh youth in the state from November 2020 to March 2021. Through this campaign, Youth will get a chance to apply for jobs in government departments, councils, corporations, etc. With the help of government efforts, many new opportunities for private sectors will also be created.

Finalising action plan of ‘Mission Rojgar’ along with other officials, Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari said, “Under Mission Rojgar, a programme will be organised to create more employment and self-employment jobs in various departments, organisations, voluntary organisations, corporations, councils, boards and various local bodies of the state government.”

Help desk in every office:

Over 41 L new jobs in 8 months

Under the Rojgar Yojana, an employment help desk will be created in every department. It will inform the youth about employment programs in respective departments.

Soon, a database of employment

A database of employment/workforce will be prepared in the state. The Directorate of Training and Employment is in process of developing an app and a web portal in this regard. Data related to employment will be updated every fortnight on this portal. All the directorates, corporations, boards, commissions, etc. will nominate a nodal officer to keep everything on track.

The entire ‘Mission Rojgar’ campaign will be conducted through Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) and a high-level committee headed by the Chief Secretary will monitor the campaign monthly.

In every district, there will be a committee under the chairmanship of District Magistrate (DM) who will prepare an action plan at the district level for jobs and careers.

It is to be mentioned that the Directorate of Training and Employment in collaboration with private industries will organise employment fairs.
