Anti-terror probe agency NIA arrests one accused in ISIS module case in Delhi.

New Delhi: Days before Independence day celebration the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted search operations in Delhi and arrested one accused who was allegedly involved in the activities of ISIS module case.

The accused who was arrested has been identified as Mohsin Ahmad. He is a resident of Batla House in New Delhi.

He is the son of Mohd Shakil Ahmad, a permanent resident of Bihar.

Arrest

According to sources, it is being said that the accused, Mohsin Ahmad who was arrested is a radicalised and also a active member of the proscribed terrorist organisation ISIS.

On June 25, a case was registered suo-moto by the NIA under Sections 153 A, and 153 B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 18, 18B, 38, 39, and 40 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

According to reports, he was involved in collecting funds for ISIS from sympathisers in India and abroad.

He was also sending these collected funds to Syria and several other places in the form of cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, this case will be investigated by the central agency.
