New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a five-year-old girl was abducted and raped while she was playing near her house around 5 pm on Dec 21 in the outer-north Delhi area.
The incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the area.
The girl was kidnapped by a man while she was playing outside her home in the Bhalswa Dairy area on Wednesday.
In the video, a man can be seen taking away the little girl in his arms.
The 5-year-old girl was found in a nearby park the next morning (December 22). Soon, she was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors confirmed rape.
Following the incident, a case has been registered under the IPC and POSCO acts.
Police said, the accused is still missing and a search is on to trace him as soon as possible.
The victim’s parents are daily wagers. The 5-year-old girl’s parents filed a missing complaint when she did not return home on Wednesday night.
After the complaint was filed, photographs of the girl were circulated in the area, and announcements were made to trace her.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has also sought a report from the police on this matter.
