Delhi: Girl jumps from Akshardham Metro Station in suicide attempt, rescued by CISF and DMRC staff (VIRAL VIDEO)

Despite all the efforts, the young girl jumped form the edge and had fallen on the blanket that were arranged by the shift head and others to rescue the girl.

New Delhi: A girl today tried to kill herself by jumping off from the the edge of the sidewall of Akshardham metro Station. The incident took place at between 7:28-7:50 am in the morning.

The girl was first noticed by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel after which he had immediately informed the shift head. Soon after this several CISF jawans and DMRC employees reached the spot and tried their best to convince the girl to come down.

However, they failed to do so and the girl denied their request and said that she would not get off the edge.

While the jawans tried convincing her, the shift in-charge along with other members from nearby mall (Lords) tried arranging thick blanket to rescue the girl if she jumped from the edge.

Despite all the efforts, the young girl jumped form the edge and had fallen on the blanket that were arranged by the shift head and others to rescue the girl.

The girl was lucky enough that she was saved, but she has suffered some injuries in her right leg.

After this incident, the girl was soon rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for further treatment.

Later, a video of the incident was shared on the Official Twitter handle of CISF.
