Delhi’s liquorgate: BJP releases 2nd sting tape, reiterates corruption in excise policy

Tweeting sting video, the BJP said that it is already in public domain and goes on to show how some elements minted money to the tune of Rs 150 crore by investing just Rs 10 crore.

New Delhi: Launching a scathing attack on Kejriwal government over its tainted excise policy, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday released second sting tape which claim to be exposing the corruption and graft that happened in handing over contracts to liquor vends.

BJP delegation led Delhi unit chief Adesh Gupta and party’s RS MP Sudhanshu Trivedi today addressed a press conference, released the two sting videos and slammed the AAP dispensation for ‘facilitating bribe culture’ in city’s liquor business.

The sting tape, shared by BJP, features Amit Arora – one of the scam accused in the excise policy scam who claimed that AAP government fixed commission for licenses and used that money for elections in Punjab & Goa Assembly elections.

Tweeting the sting video, the BJP said that it is already in public domain and goes on to show how some elements minted money to the tune of Rs 150 crore by investing just Rs 10 crore.

Blasting the AAP govt for alleged scam, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “The scam accused number – 9 Amit Arora has exposed everything. How much money was taken from whom? How scams happened, everything has been exposed.”

“Fees of up to Rs 5 crore each was fixed as minimum base price. Rs 5 crore was kept so that petty players could not come,” BJP leaders said while hitting out at Kejriwal govt.

Manoj Tiwari, BJP MP from North-East Delhi also took to Twitter and said that Delhi’s fraud excise policy lays exposed now with this sting operation and Kejriwal-Sisodia duo deserve the blame for this.

The BJP also shared another video of the sting operation, which showed how liquor scam accused no 13’s father giving detailed account of ‘cut money’ being received for allocating liquor vend licences. In the video, accused’s father could be heard saying, “L1 license will be for those who record sales of over Rs 150 crores. This way, all small players will be disqualified.”

Days ago, BJP leader Tejinder Bagga had also shared this video.
