New Delhi: West Bengal CM & Trinamool Congress (TMC) Mamata Banerjee on Monday blocked Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Twitter, saying that she has been “disturbed” by his tweets.
“I have been disturbed by Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar’s tweets, so have blocked him on the microblogging platform,” the Chief Minister said.
TMC chief also accused Bengal Governor of threatening state chief secretary and director general of police.
“Everyday he was issuing tweets targeting and threatening government officials as if we are his bonded labourers,” she said.
Soon after her press conference, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar took to Twitter to post a screenshot of Article 159 of the Constitution which spells out the functions of a Governor.
