Don’t fall in trap of Opposition’s propaganda: Nadda’s appeal to farmers

Nadda said that Modi government is highly committed for the welfare of the entire farming community. He appealed to all the farmers to support and trust PM Modi in making India a strong, prosperous and ‘Atmanirbhar’ (self-reliant) nation.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for kick-starting massive monetary relief distribution programme worth Rs.18,000 crores to 9 crore farmers across India under the Prime Minister Kisan Nidhi Yojna (PM-KISAN).

Nadda congratulated the 9 crore farmers for getting the second instalment under the scheme directly in their bank accounts. He requested protesting farmers not to fall in the vicious trap of the opposition’s false propaganda and petty politics. He said the Narendra Modi government was highly committed towards the growth and development of the agriculture and farm sector, and for the welfare, prosperity and wellbeing of our farmers.

In a series of tweets today, BJP President said under PM-KISAN, a total of Rs. 18,089 crores is being transferred to 9.4 crore farmers directly into their bank accounts. It is a major step towards good governance.

Nadda said a total of 8 crore farmers from across India who had registered to connect with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for his today’s address directly listened to his speech, which is unprecedented and historical.

Nadda also said the Centre under PM Modi’s leadership is constantly working towards the modernisation of our agriculture sector and for making agriculture more profitable for the farmers of India, which is an agriculture-centric nation.

“Our government is also working persistently to ensure that farmers have to spend less in farming and their input costs are reduced, that they get better income of their produce and that their incomes increase consistently,” he said.

He also alerted the protesting farmers not to fall in the trap of any malicious propaganda of the opposition parties.

Nadda stressed that Modi government is highly committed for the welfare and well-being of the entire farming community and is taking all possible steps needed to safeguard the interests and rights of our farmers.

Expressing dismay and pain over omission of farmers of West Bengal from the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Nadda said it is a matter of great pain and disappointment that on one hand all the farmers from across India were getting benefitted from the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, on the other hand our poor and needy 70 lakh farmers from West Bengal are deliberately being deprived from the benefits of the remarkable scheme.

“I want to ask Mamata Banerjee that why did she not implement this highly beneficial scheme for our farmers in West Bengal?”, he said.
