Four arrested for killing and burying 54-year-old woman in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area, body found from cemetery

Delhi Police in the statement said they recovered the body of the 54-year-old woman Meena from a graveyard in Mangolpuri PS area.

New Delhi: A body of a woman was recovered by Police from a cemetery days after the 54-year-old woman went missing from her home in Outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri, said police.

Police investigating the matter said four men have been arrested for allegedly killing and burying her.

The woman worked as a micro-financier and she lent money to hawkers and vendors in the area.
The deceased woman had loaned money to the accused and killed her after they failed to pay back the amount to her.
Police said they received information about the woman missing from her residence on January 2. During the investigation, when Police were tracing her through her phone and checked CCTV cameras to locate her.

After her phone was found to be switched off, Police registered a case of kidnapping and her body was recovered on Wednesday.

Delhi Police in the statement said they recovered the body of the 54-year-old woman Meena from a graveyard in Mangolpuri PS area.

The accused during the interrogation confessed to the crime and said they buried her in Nangloi Graveyard on the intervening night of 2-3 January.

The reason behind her murder was she was constantly asking them to return previous loans.

Delhi Police in the statement said they recovered the body of the 54-year-old woman Meena from a graveyard in Mangolpuri PS area.

The auto which was used in the offence was also recovered.

Meanwhile, the body was sent for post-mortem.

Further investigation is underway, said Police.
