New Delhi: A video capturing a couple engaging in a public display of affection while riding a two-wheeler in Ghaziabad has sparked widespread criticism on social media. The footage, believed to be from NH9 near the Indirapuram area, shows the woman closely hugging the man, who is operating the motorbike. The matter in concern is the woman’s seating position on the rider’s lap instead of the designated back seat.
The video, recorded by an onlooker, begins with the couple’s vehicle passing by a person in a car who openly expresses disappointment. The individual behind the camera remarks on the increasing trend of individuals risking dangerous stunts for the sake of gaining online attention. The potential dangers of such public displays of affection while riding, including the risk of losing control of the vehicle, are highlighted. Towards the end of the video, the commentator urges the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh to take decisive action against those involved, with the aim of ensuring safer public roads and preventing such disturbances in the future.

Reacting to the incident, another Twitter user tagged the UP Police and Ghaziabad Traffic Police Department, condemning the couple’s behavior. The user claims the incident took place on Tuesday, June 20, around 12:30 pm stating, “This is from UP Ghaziabad, here the rules and regulations do not matter. See how the girl is sitting on the biker rider’s lap. Tour travel operator Sudhanshu has recorded the video.”
The Deputy Commissioner of Ghaziabad Police addressed the matter, stating that necessary legal action would be taken after a thorough investigation of the video by Inspector Indirapuram. The Ghaziabad Police Department responded promptly to the complaint received on Twitter, informing that appropriate action had been taken. They further emphasized the importance of adhering to the law.
The video has sparked a debate on social media regarding public conduct and safety on roads.
