‘Hair pulled, manhandled’: Why such brutal detention of Congress’ Srinivas BV?, Footage sparks outrage

New Delhi: A video is being circulated on social media which shows how Delhi Police pulled the hair and manhandled the national president of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV during the party’s protest.

Srinivas BV was today following the protests over Congress interim leader Sonia Gandhi’s questioning by the Enforcement Directorate in the National Capital.

Soon after the video was shared on social media, brutal detention of the Congress leader by the Delhi Police has sparked outrage among the party workers and other leaders.

Such detention took place when former Congress president and the MPs who had gathered at the Vijay Chowk to march towards the Rashtrapati Bhavan to draw the President’s attention to the alleged misuse of central agencies by the government were stopped by the police.
