New Delhi: Out on bail Gaurav Sharma, who man who was jailed in 2018 in a sex assault case allegedly shot dead the survivor’s father on Monday in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras.

According to police, an argument broke out between the accused’s family and that of the victim during which Gaurav Sharma fired directly at the father of the girl. He died on the way to the hospital.

“During the investigation, it came to light that in July 2018, Amrish Sharma had filed a case of molestation against Gaurav Sharma, who was sent to jail but he came out on bail after one month. Both the families were having a dispute since then,” Jaiswal added.

Now, the victim’s daughter has accused that the criminal has ties with Samajwadi Party.
