Covid19: Union Health Minister Mandaviya says ‘you lack maturity’ after Rahul Gandhi’s #WhereAreVaccines Tweet

Rahul Gandhi had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 20 following which his vaccination got delayed.

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday questioned the shortage of vaccines in the country amid claims by the government that 47 crore people have been vaccinated so far in the country.

In a tweet in Hindi, Gandhi said, “July is gone, the vaccine shortage hasn’t gone away. #WhereAreVaccines (July chala gaya hai, vaccine ki kami nahin gayi.)” Earlier, on July 2, Gandhi had tweeted along the same lines wherein he wrote, “July has come, the vaccine has not arrived.”

After which Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya quoted his Tweet and said, “More than 13 crore vaccines have been administered in India in the month of July.

“It is going to accelerate this month. We are proud of our healthcare workers for this achievement.”

“Now you should be proud of him and the country.”

“I have heard that you are one of the 13 crore people who were vaccinated in July.”

“But you did not speak a word for our scientists, did not appeal to the public to vaccinate. Meaning you are doing petty politics in the name of vaccination.”

“Actually not the vaccine, you lack maturity,” he Tweeted in Hindi.

This development comes just days after Gandhi got jabbed with his first dose.

Party sources informed ANI on Friday evening, “Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi had taken his COVID-19 vaccination on July 28. Hence, he did not attend the House on July 29 and July 30.”
