Himachal Pradesh election to be held on November 12, Poll Result on December 8

The Election Comission Of India said that the elction for Himachal Pradesh will be held in one phase.

New Delhi:  The Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the assembly polls Himachal Pradesh on Friday. The press comference was addressed by CEC Shri Rajiv Kumar along with EC Shri Anup Chandra Pandey.

The EC announced the election dates in a press conference at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi at 3 pm.

The term of the Himachal Pradesh will end on January 8, 2023.

In the 182-seated Gujarat Assembly, there are 111 BJP and 62 Congress MLAs at present. The dates for Himachal Pradesh Assembly election will be announced soon by the Election Commission.

ECI Suvidha Portal

# The Election Comission of India (ECI) Suvidha Portal will be provided online for nomination & affidavit facility to candidates/political parties @suvidha.eci.gov.in.

# Permissions for rallies, meetings, etc. can also be applied online through this portal.

Last month, the Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and Election Commissioner Anup Chandra Pandey visited Gujarat and Himachal and reviewed the poll preparedness.

Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election 2017

Himachal Pradesh voted on November 9, 2017 to elect its legislative assembly.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) defeated the Congress Party in the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election.

In 2017, the BJP won 44 seats while Congress secured only 21 seats.

At present, the BJP has 45 MLAs at the Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly, while Congress has 22 and CPIM has 1 MLA.
