New Delhi: Pradeep Mehra, a 19-year-old boy from Noida, became viral after filmmaker Vinod Kapri shared his inspiring story through a video. Kapri shared the video on March 20 on his Twitter account. The video shows Mehra is running on a road at midnight and refusing to take a lift from Kapri saying he is preparing to join the Indian Army.

The story is widely being shared on social media. So far, Kapri’s video has received more than 11 million views.

He captioned the video, ”this is pure gold”.

Who is Pradeep Mehra?

Pradeep Mehra belongs to Uttarakhand’s Almora. His name in school is Puskhar Mehra. He works at a McDonald’s outlet in Noida Sector 16. He tells he daily runs 10 kilometers from Noida Sector 16 to home, situated in Barola, every night.

He says ”his mother is getting treatment in a hospital in Delhi”.

After the first video of Pradeep Mehra went viral he was again seen in a new video on the very next day. Vinod Kapri shared the new video on March 21, in which Mehra was seen running. While recording video, Kapri asks, ”Why you only want join Army.”

Replaying to the question, Mehra said, ”Joining Army is my love since childhood, I want to earn the unifom.”

In another video, featuring Pradeep Mehra, Vinod Kapri informed that Mehra recevied a sports kit with Running shoes, Apparels, backpack, socks from Atul Kasbekar. Kasbekar is a famous photographer and producer of Bollywood films.

After knowing Pradeep Mehara’s story Noida’s District Megistrate Suhas LY assured him to help in exploring all options for his career.

He also offered to support him in the treatment of his ailing mother.

Pradeep says let me focus on my target

After Pradeep Mehra’s story went viral globally, many news channels started calling him for interveiw. Initially, Mehra gave a few interviews.

However, he said, ”He has not done any big thing. I request everyone to let me work silently.”  ”I want to focus on my target than giving so many interviews. I do not want to show off my hardwork,” added Mehra.
